Volvo Company has revealed that they are working on new upcoming 2017 Volvo S90 model. It will be successor of well-known S80 model, which had a lot of success around the world. Design of new 2017 Volvo S90 will be based on Volvo Concept Universe. First appearance of this concept was back in 2011 at the Shanghai Motor Show. New S90 is four-door sedan, which has very long wheelbase. Volvo will also release a station wagon model called 2017 Volvo V90, but this will happen in about one year after first release. Interior changes will include large touchscreen, which is located on the centre console, refreshed infotainment system, digital gauges on the dashboard and TFT screen. As we said before, exterior changes are very much influenced by the Volvo concept.

2017 Volvo S90 engine and fuel economy
2017 Volvo S90 engine will be same one used in Volvo XC90. This means 2.0 litre 4-cylinder engine, which will be capable to produce 316 horsepower at 5,700 rpm and 295 lb-ft of torque between 2,200 rpm and 4,500 rpm. This engine will be equipped with both a supercharger and a turbocharger. 2017 Volvo S90 plug-in hybrid will be offered on the market as well. This means one more electric motor will be combined with this 2.0 litre engine. Power will be transferred to the wheels through 8-speed automatic transmission. 2017 Volvo S90 fuel economy specs are not released so far.

2017 Volvo S90 release date and price
2017 Volvo S90 release date should be set for next fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show. When it finally hits the market it would be great rival for BMW 5-Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Audi A6. 2017 Volvo S90 price is not released for public, but we are expecting to get some new info very soon.
